31 DAYS – a writing challenge – day 20
There was a time when I fancied myself as an amateur photographer. My parents gave me a really nice camera for my birthday, so in my first holiday at Romania’s seaside that year I snapped more than 4 GB of photos. Of course they aren’t as spectacular as I thought then, but I was so happy with my new camera, that I mistaken the clarity of the pics with an artistic result. Obviously, you need more than a good camera to be an artist.
Nevertheless, those pictures still are a very fine remembrance. In one of the the days I’ve been fascinated to see more seagulls then ever before. There were seagulls here, seagulls there, seagulls almost everywhere. I almost felt as in Hitchcock’s movie “The Birds”.
One morning I finally made it to wake up before sunrise.
I also visited the Archaeological Museum “Callatis”, where I got to test my camera inside, under artificial light, photographing lots of statues, bas reliefs, iron war weapons, vases made of pottery, glass and bronze, dated in the II century AD.
And the last pics were taken out of enthusiasm of using my camera while going to circus or having a ropeway ride or a “gondola ride”, as they call it in our Romanian resort, or during the long strolls.
Great photos…the ones of the sunset are gorgeous! And that waterpark looks so fun!
